The Passing...

The dawn of our life is energetic and fun.
We have friends to play with and everyday runs
We share our toys, our candies and pleasant memories
Our days are restless and without worries
But just like the falling leaves that bloomed last June
They are just passing and so soon they’d be gone

Our time for school, our moments of yearning
New friends; our classmates, new beginning
We share jokes, stories and even assignments
Laughers, love stories, full of excitements!
Then our long awaited graduation is coming
Our classmates, our friends, our school times are passing

Soon we find ourselves climbing this corporate ladder
Meeting new faces, new friends; our co-workers
We share ideas, emotions and seek advices
It’s a different kind of feeling but still time catches
Retirement is approaching and work days are ending
Because in this life of uncertainty, those too are passing

Now it is the fall season of my life
My youth is gone but I’m not in strife
It’s been a long journey and I learned a lot of things
And it comes to my senses that me too, am just passing
I hope I made a difference to those people I met along the way
And to those who are just starting, make it a worthwhile stay!
