A Wounded Heart

It plummets… It sinks….
Down to the bottomless pit
It yells… It shouts…
The pain seems so persisting.
It scorches… It burns
The rage that has been dormant.
It mourns… It cries…
For sedimental sorrows of the past.

But still,
It hopes… It dreams…
Of a clear and sunny tomorrow,
For this heart will keep on enduring
My spirit will keep on shinning
So bring it on! And keep it coming!
Dark Angels had me deceiving…
Drop by drop brings close to winning.
I will survive and go on living!

A Cold Winter Night

It’s cold and dark, as I stroll this winter night
Walking to the park, alone and without fright.
The lady moon rests, and I can hear her breathing
She’s so calm on her hammock, swinging… humming…

The pavement shines, like the stars in the sky
Shattered to the heaven as if dancing up high.
A cool breeze blows kissing me at my cheeks
Embracing me from my back, so blunt… so meek…

As I sit on the bench, a nosy owl stares
Giving me a look… so intriguing, I feel bare.
Through the tranquility are crickets whispering
Breaking the solitude, gabbling… tattling…

Thank you Oh Mighty One for the beauty of the night
For this moment of peace, for such bewitching sight
Give me courage, lend me strength, enough to carry on
Because another day is heading, it’s almost dawn.

Lilith

Beware to this maiden, the lily of the night
A picture of beauty and will capture your sight
She walks so swiftly, carried by the wind
And her voice like songs, mysteriously bewildering

Death is to ignorance that you will bitterly pay
For being deaf to the voices that you ignored and betrayed
Beneath that beauty lurks a pretentious beast
They lion on souls, ready to unleash

Beware to the sickness this maiden afflicts
It dwells in the mind and feasts at your sleep
Blackness will eventually conquer your day
Adrift in oblivion and in the darkness, astray

Little demons are crawling, as they slowly appear
Pulling your arms, your legs and ripping your hair
Your scream drains straight down the abyss
No one can hear you…oh yes, they will feast

So I tell you beware, she appears at night
Open your heart and your eyes, and show no fright
If there’s still light that dwells with in you
Don’t let it flicker… she’s coming to get you!

Love Is Blind...

Love took a glimpse at me
Striking unutterably…
As I stared back, dumbfounded…
The rest simply faded…

My heart pounding incessantly
As she walked towards me
My hands started shaking
Feverish, I was trembling

Everything seemed to be heavy
My arms, my knees, my body…
And at the same time, I felt lighter…
I’m slowly floating on air

The moment started halting
As she stopped in front of me
I held her hands and whispered
“Honey, you’re still amazing…”

As I held her, we danced slow
And memories started unfolding
She looked at me and asked
“What have happened to us?”

Then I burst into tears
My heart, my soul… was pierced…
She hugged me even more
If only I can bring back what’s before…

I realized, Love never glimpse
Only the world is deceiving
But the blind can never be deceived.
I’d rather stayed blind.. and living…

The Story of My Life

I will paint it red, yellow, blue and green
With dashes of gold along with silver linings
A dazzling light will glow unveiling the darkest corner
Even the wise shall marvel and wonder

Birds and butterflies will be flying freely
Befriending the bats, the dragonflies and the honeybees
Wild bears shall share drinks with the deers
With no worries, they will be peers

There will be a road made up of marbles
Pearly white with precious stones
And there will be big boulders of pillars
Supporting the sheds as you walk along

Storms and typhoons may visit once in a while
And tornadoes will try to anger the sky
But nothing stops the sun, she’ll always rise
To give birth to a phoenix after a great fire.

For that greatness, it shall be remembered
The one that deceivers can never mislead
And from the seeds of goodness, it will be ripped
In due time, the harvest shall be revealed

Then the moon shall never envy the sun
Because she always have her own shine
A beauty that radiates in spectacle
Even the ocean is under her spell

A commanding respect will echo in silence
Only those awake will see that grace
After a long walk, before the road ends
There are nothing but whispers of my families and my friends.

A Place I Long To See

There is this place I long to see
A place of panoramic view and tranquility
Where the lagoon shimmers as the sun rises
And the breeze of air; so smooth… so fresh…

The mountain ranges rising up so high
As if it is gracefully kissing the bright blue sky
The birds are soaring high above the clouds
Flying through the horizon; so majestic… so proud…

And during the night are the dancing fire flies
Accompanied by the frogs singing lullabies
The winds are getting colder yet, sweeter
As it passes; so caressing… so tender…

There is this place I long to see
To cure my heart and set me free
I’ve been traveling this road yet leads me nowhere
Help me find my way… let me get there.
