Love Is Blind...

Love took a glimpse at me
Striking unutterably…
As I stared back, dumbfounded…
The rest simply faded…

My heart pounding incessantly
As she walked towards me
My hands started shaking
Feverish, I was trembling

Everything seemed to be heavy
My arms, my knees, my body…
And at the same time, I felt lighter…
I’m slowly floating on air

The moment started halting
As she stopped in front of me
I held her hands and whispered
“Honey, you’re still amazing…”

As I held her, we danced slow
And memories started unfolding
She looked at me and asked
“What have happened to us?”

Then I burst into tears
My heart, my soul… was pierced…
She hugged me even more
If only I can bring back what’s before…

I realized, Love never glimpse
Only the world is deceiving
But the blind can never be deceived.
I’d rather stayed blind.. and living…
